Moving service in Kloten, including Geissberg, Hostrass and Oberfeld: Furniture assembly, insurance and a quote within 24 hours – no Saturday surcharge.

Our moving service in Kloten covers everything from packing to the end-of-tenancy cleaning of your old apartment.

Moves for families, singles and offices in Kloten, with airport businesses also moved outside working hours.

Final cleaning with handover guarantee: in Geissberg, Rütlen or Spitz we attend the handover in person.

Clearance and disposal of flats, cellars and storerooms in the industrial quarter and the town districts.

Dry, alarm-protected furniture storage, for example when a new job at the airport leaves a gap between dates.
Right next to our base, yet varied: residential districts with Blue Zone parking, building sites in the industrial quarter, hamlets on the hills and offices at the airport.
From Wallisellen our team is with you in Kloten in no time; during the free survey we record volume, floors and access.
We organise a reserved space for the removal lorry with the responsible town office, so that nobody has to look for free bays on moving day.
As long as the Glattalbahn is being extended towards the industrial quarter, we check route and access again shortly before the date.
In Gerlisberg, Bänikon and the narrow Eigental we choose the vehicle size to suit the access, using a shorter lorry if necessary.
We bring free boxes and packing material in advance, for private households as well as for offices at the airport.
Before the first piece of furniture is moved, we pad the lift car, stairwell and floors, from a block of flats in Balsberg to a house in Egetswil.
In the traffic around the airport and The Circle, we schedule the drive for quieter times and secure the load carefully in the vehicle.
In taller residential buildings we lift bulky pieces in with the furniture lift if needed, when the lift or stairwell is too tight.
At the new location our carpenters assemble beds, wardrobes and workstations and set everything up according to your plan.
Optionally we clean the old flat; we dispose of larger quantities, and small amounts you can take to the Hauptsammelstelle Römerweg (main collection point) yourself.
Under the rules of the canton of Zurich, registration at your new place of residence is due within 14 days. Quite a few municipalities in the canton accept it online via eUmzug.
So that post does not end up at your old address, have the redirection set up at least 4 working days before your moving date. Serafe (radio/TV licence fee) is informed without you having to do anything; the Einwohnerkontrolle (residents' registration office) handles this automatically.
In 2026, Kloten's total tax rate excluding church tax is 100 %. For comparison in 2026: Winkel 76 %, Nürensdorf 90 %, Bassersdorf 114 %, Dietlikon 105 % and Zurich 119 %. Kloten is therefore lower than Zurich.
In Kloten's Blue Zones, kerbside space is in demand. So that the removal lorry can still stop close to the entrance, we have the space reserved free of charge through the responsible office in Kloten; the town charges the fees to you.
If larger quantities of furniture or bulky waste arise during the move, we dispose of them for CHF 65.– per m³, labour not included. You can also take individual items or electronics to the Hauptsammelstelle Römerweg yourself.
The journey could hardly be shorter: our base in Wallisellen borders Kloten directly, around 4 km away as the crow flies, so travel there and back adds very little to the working time. The effort depends on the address, from a town district where parking is the question to Gerlisberg, Bänikon or the Eigental, where we check access and vehicle size in advance. Offices at the airport move outside working hours. The calculator above provides guide prices.

For us, Kloten is not just a dot on the map but a real place of work with its own routes, access roads and neighbourhoods. Kloten lies about 10 km north-east of Zurich city centre on the plain of the Glatt Valley. The municipality covers a large part of Zurich Airport; Kloten station and the Kloten-Balsberg stop are served every half hour by the S7.
As a moving company for Kloten, we also handle moves in the districts of Geissberg, Hostrass, Oberfeld, Rütlen, Spitz and Balsberg – with the same planning and the same guide prices. As a moving company, we also plan moves from Kloten to a neighbouring municipality such as Winkel, Lufingen, Oberembrach or Nürensdorf from a single source. Kloten belongs to the district of Bülach in the canton of Zurich.
Kloten has grown rapidly since the airport was built between 1946 and 1948 – from around 3400 inhabitants in 1950 to over 20'000 today. Anyone moving in the old village centre around the Reformed church and the historic farmhouses knows the narrow lanes that leave hardly any room for large removal vans. The Kloten city police are responsible for no-parking zones on public land – if you only sort this out on moving day, you will be left without a parking space.
Around The Circle, which has stood right next to the airport since 2020 and houses companies such as Microsoft and SAP, there is heavy business and airport traffic during the day – when planning access, it is worth checking the traffic situation before moving day. In the Balsberg and Holberg neighbourhoods near the airport motorway, new buildings are usually well connected, while in outlying hamlets such as Bänikon or Obholz things are more rural and access roads are narrower. The planned extension of the Glattalbahn into the industrial quarter may also cause additional roadworks at times.
For the Private Move we clarify access and the no-parking zone with you in advance; for the Corporate relocation we coordinate the schedule with your business hours. Both with a cost ceiling, with no surprises on moving day.
Kloten already lay at a crossroads in Roman times: here the road from Vindonissa to Brigantium met a route towards Turicum. Near today's Reformed church there was a Roman settlement from the 1st to the 3rd century, and a fort in the 4th century. Today Kloten is a town of 22,017 inhabitants (end of 2025), and our base in Wallisellen, one of the neighbouring municipalities, is only around 4 km away as the crow flies.
Besides the centre, the town includes the districts of Geissberg, Hostrass, Oberfeld, Rütlen, Spitz, Bramen, Balsberg, Holberg, Hohrainli, Kaserne, Chaseren and Freienberg. Then there are the settlements of Egetswil, Gerlisberg, Bänikon, im Eigental, im Rank and am Aalbühl. Bänikon and the Eigental have only belonged to Kloten since 1927; before that they were part of Oberembrach.
The municipality stretches from the Hard and the Balsberg in the south across the hills of Gerlisberg and Bänikon to beyond the narrow Eigental, an important regional nature reserve. For your removal company, this means:
A good quarter of the municipal area, 27.1 per cent, is taken up by transport infrastructure, above all the airport. It is home to the headquarters of the Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology, the airlines Swiss, Helvetic Airways and Edelweiss Air, SR Technics, Gategroup Holding and the Swiss Air-Rescue Rega, among others. For offices and businesses, we plan the company move outside working hours, including furniture assembly, disposal and furniture storage.
Its industrial history is remarkable too: the bridge-building firm founded by Karl Löhle in 1900, later Eisenbaugesellschaft Zürich, built the Hallenstadion Zürich among other things. And since 1950, signals troops have been trained at the Kloten military training ground. The coat of arms with the half silver lion goes back to the Lords of Kloten.
Kloten has had a railway stop since 1877, and since 1980 there has been an underground station beneath the airport with InterCity and EuroCity connections. The Glattalbahn light rail links the town with the Zurich network, and main roads lead to Bülach and Eglisau and into the Tösstal. For commuter households we offer Saturday dates with no Saturday surcharge.
Kloten borders Winkel, Lufingen, Oberembrach, Nürensdorf, Bassersdorf, Dietlikon, Wallisellen, Opfikon and Rümlang. For a move to Opfikon, as movers for Rümlang, in Winkel or Nürensdorf, your team for removals in Kloten is there for you as well, with final cleaning on request.
Do you also move households to Egetswil, Gerlisberg and the Eigental?
Yes. Egetswil, Gerlisberg, Bänikon, the Eigental, Rank and Aalbühl belong to the town of Kloten. For addresses outside the town districts, we clarify access and vehicle size during the survey.
Do you handle office moves for companies at Zurich Airport in Kloten?
Yes. Numerous companies and institutions have their headquarters at the airport, from airlines to technical service providers. We plan office moves outside your working hours and set up the workstations at the new location.
Kloten lies right next to our base in Wallisellen, and yet every move there is different: Blue Zones in the residential districts, construction work towards the industrial quarter and access roads to the hamlets on the hills.
In Kloten's Blue Zones (time-limited parking areas), unlimited parking is only allowed with a parking permit, according to the town, so kerbside space is in demand. For the removal lorry we therefore plan a reserved parking spot near the entrance rather than a search for free bays.
The Glattalbahn is being extended into the industrial quarter, together with a main cycle route and flood protection. During the construction period we check the current access during the survey and adapt route and parking to the building sites.
The hamlets lie on the hills of the municipality, and the Eigental is narrow and a regional nature reserve. We clarify in advance which vehicle size the access allows and whether a shorter lorry will reach the house faster.
The town of Kloten issues digital parking permits and day parking cards for the Blue Zones, checked via the number plate. For a parking spot right in front of the house, we arrange the reservation with the responsible office in Kloten; fees are charged directly by the town.
You can take smaller amounts of bulky waste, scrap metal or old electronics to the Hauptsammelstelle Römerweg yourself, with bulky waste accepted there for a fee. Anything that arises in larger quantities during the move we dispose of properly for CHF 65.– per m³.
The airport is home to Swiss, Edelweiss Air, SR Technics, Gategroup and the Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology, among others. For offices, technology and files, we offer business moves, IT relocations and archive moves outside working hours.
Kloten borders eight municipalities: Winkel, Lufingen, Oberembrach, Nürensdorf, Bassersdorf, Dietlikon, Wallisellen and Opfikon. Further north in the district, we also work in Bülach and Eglisau.
Our Google profile shows 4.8 out of 5 stars, calculated from 184 reviews. Whether a private or business move in Kloten: you can read other customers' experiences there in their own words.
Our team, provided you have booked the final cleaning with handover guarantee. We are present at the handover appointment and immediately put right, free of charge, anything the property management criticises. Whether you come yourself or authorise a representative is something to agree with the landlord, so that your duty roster and the inspection do not clash.
With a suitably short vehicle and a parking spot where the road is wide enough. We carry the rest of the way, so for old farmhouses with narrow doors and steep stairs we plan enough staff and dismantle large wardrobes beforehand. That way the lane is not blocked for longer than necessary.
We choose the vehicle based on the narrowest point of the route, not on the size of the flat. If a short lorry cannot take everything, it makes two trips rather than having a large truck turn at the edge of the forest. Because the Eigental is a nature reserve, we keep the vehicle strictly to the paved access roads.
Above all the traffic on the feeder roads and the A51 airport motorway. We time loading and departure so that the full lorry does not get caught in the peaks of commuters and travellers, and we reserve the parking spot in advance. If you work at the airport, you can also schedule the move for a Saturday at no extra cost.
We check this during the survey: if the headroom of the underground car park allows our lorry, we load directly at the lift. Otherwise we stop at the building entrance. We line the lift car with protective mats, and if a sofa or wardrobe does not fit inside, we lift it with the furniture lift via the balcony or a window.
Outside working hours, in the evening or at the weekend, so that production and customer service hardly come to a standstill. Because of the work on the Glattalbahn extension, we only fix the delivery after an up-to-date look at the access roads. We record machines, archives and workstations in a plan beforehand, and our carpenters reassemble everything at the new location.
The town of Kloten points to the PIKITUP platform, where you can give away usable furniture and appliances in the neighbourhood. Plan this two or three weeks before moving day so that people collect in time. Whatever is left by then, we take with us on moving day and dispose of properly.
A list of all devices and clear labelling of monitors, computers and cables by workstation. We pack the equipment in protective material, transport it securely and set it up at the new location according to your plan. Your IT disconnects servers and network beforehand, so that everything runs again on the next working day.
