Why dismantling and reassembly often take longer than the transport
Dismantling at the old location and reassembly at the new one are among the most time-consuming parts of a move. Screws get lost, instructions are missing, and in the end the wardrobe stands crooked.
Our teams dismantle your furniture, pack small parts with labels and reassemble everything at the new location – so that you can use your bed and wardrobe on the very first evening.

All prices include insurance and exclude 8.1% VAT. Guide values are based on average effort; the exact amount is determined during the free on-site survey and invoiced according to actual working time, including travel to and from the site.

I was very satisfied with the moving services and the cleaning work. The furniture was properly packed and handled with care. Frequently asked questions about furniture assembly
Who assembles the furniture – your own staff or a subcontractor?
Our own carpenters. They work in the same team as the removal crew, know the routine on moving day and are responsible for both dismantling and reassembly. There is no handover to an outside company, and you have one point of contact for the entire furniture assembly.
How is furniture assembly without a move charged?
By the actual working time in 15-minute increments, with a minimum of 3 hours. We look at the furniture beforehand, also by WhatsApp video, and estimate the work involved. If you wish, we then agree a cost ceiling or a flat rate so that the maximum amount for the assembly is fixed.
Where can dismantled furniture be kept if the new flat is not ready yet?
In our furniture storage facility, which is dry, climate-controlled and alarm-protected, from CHF 15.– per m³ per month. The furniture is stored dismantled and protected, and small parts stay with the piece they belong to. As soon as you can move in, we deliver everything and our carpenters reassemble it in your new flat.
When is a furniture lift a better option than dismantling a piece?
When an item cannot be dismantled, or only at a risk, such as a large sofa, or when the stairwell and lift are too narrow. In that case we raise it with the furniture lift through a window or over the balcony. Whether this is necessary is something we clarify during the survey before moving day.
What happens to old furniture left over after assembly?
On request we take it away straight away and dispose of it properly for CHF 65.– per m³ plus labour. This makes sense, for example, when a new wardrobe replaces the old one. Let us know during the survey which pieces are to go, so that enough space is planned in the vehicle.
What protective measures apply during assembly in the stairwell and flat?
Before we touch anything, we lay down floor protection and pad the lift, stairwell and door frames. We never lean furniture parts against walls unprotected, and tools lie on blankets. This keeps parquet floors, walls and shared areas of the building undamaged, and insurance is included.
