The Lorze river has shaped Cham for centuries. Mills were already turning on it in 1279, and in 1657 a paper mill was built which, as Papierfabrik Cham AG, became the municipality's largest employer in the 20th century and closed in 2015. The industrial municipality has become a town: since 1990, Cham has statistically counted as the third town in the canton of Zug.

Who authorises the truck's parking space in Cham if you live in the See or Eizmoos leisure area?
The Polizeiamt of the municipality at Dorfplatz is responsible there too. The municipality bills you the permit fee directly; it does not appear on our invoice.
How does a move in Cham work if the building only has an underground car park and no forecourt?
A removal truck usually does not fit into an underground car park, so we plan the parking space on the street in front of the entrance and have it authorised. We measure the route from there through the entrance, stairwell or lift during the site visit and protect it on moving day with blankets and floor protection.
Where is the cantonal border if you move from Cham to Knonau or Maschwanden?
