An upright or grand piano is one of the most demanding items to transport during a move: heavy weight, delicate mechanics and often narrow access require experience and the right equipment.
We secure the instrument with tension straps and protective blankets, move it with piano dollies and, for narrow stairwells, use the furniture lift on request.

I was very satisfied with the moving services and the cleaning work. The furniture was properly packed and handled with care. Frequently asked questions about piano transport
Do I have to help carry the piano during a piano move?
Nobody from your household has to. Our team takes care of all the carrying, securing and positioning. You simply show us where the instrument should go in the new home and stay reachable in case a question about access comes up on moving day. A clear path from the door to the instrument makes our work easier.
How are floors and stairwells protected when moving a piano?
Before the instrument is moved, we lay down floor protection and pad the stairwell, banisters and lift car. In tight spots we also cover door frames and corners. This keeps parquet, stairs and walls in both the old and the new home free of scratches and dents.
Where is customs clearance done for a piano moving abroad?
Twice: export goes through Swiss customs, import through the customs of the destination country. For an international move, we handle the entire customs clearance for you. The instrument is simply listed alongside your furniture and household goods on the joint inventory we draw up with you.
When should I book a piano transport?
As soon as you know the date of the move or delivery. That leaves time to look at the instrument, the stairs and the access, and to plan a furniture lift if needed. Also schedule tuning by a specialist only after the transport, once the instrument is in its new place.
What should be prepared before a piano is moved?
Remove sheet music, photos, candlesticks and decorations from the instrument and clear the way to the door. Decide where the piano should stand in the new home. Locking the lid and padding the instrument is then our job.
Which services can be combined with a piano transport?
Almost everything related to your move: furniture assembly by our own carpenters, packing service for fragile items, end-of-tenancy cleaning with a handover guarantee and disposal of old furniture for CHF 65.– per m³. If you do everything on one date, you have just one quote and one team as your point of contact.
