Thalwil at a glance
Moving company Thalwil: your moving location at a glance
Every move in Thalwil starts with us taking a look at the local conditions: access, floors, parking and the route to the removal van. The lakeside municipality of Thalwil lies on several terraces on the slopes of the Zimmerberg on the western shore of Lake Zurich. Thalwil has a six-track railway station that is also served by express trains.
Whether in the centre or in Oberdorf, Unterdorf and Ludretikon: we clarify access and space conditions during the survey before every move. In addition to Thalwil itself, we also operate in the neighbouring municipalities of Rüschlikon, Oberrieden and Langnau am Albis. Thalwil belongs to the district of Horgen in the canton of Zurich.

Moving in Thalwil: what we pay attention to
Thalwil is built in terraces on the slopes of the Zimmerberg above Lake Zurich – from the lakeshore up to the upper neighbourhoods there are considerable differences in altitude, so access roads are correspondingly steep and in places narrow. In the historic Platte district around the Reformed church and near the Pfistergut, now the local museum, there is particularly little space for large removal vans. The Thalwil municipal police are responsible for no-parking zones on public land; we handle the application for you.
Where the silk industry of Robert Schwarzenbach & Co. once shaped the town, companies such as u-blox, Unisys and Papyrus are now important employers – many of them in the Böni industrial quarter, which has existed since 1971. Thalwil station, with six tracks and a connection to the Zimmerberg Base Tunnel, provides good transport links, but also brings traffic around Bahnhofstrasse at rush hour. The Gattikon district on the Sihl is quieter, although access there is characterised by the steeper roads of the Zimmerberg.
For the Private Move we clarify access and the no-parking zone with you in advance; for the Corporate relocation we coordinate the schedule with your business hours. Both with a cost ceiling, with no surprises on moving day.
