Why IT and laboratories need their own moving plan
Servers, network cabinets, monitors and laboratory equipment are sensitive to shocks, vibrations and temperature changes. In addition, downtime must be kept as short as possible. That is why we plan IT and laboratory relocations together with your IT or laboratory managers.
We take care of packing, transport and set-up. Shutdown, data backup, calibration and commissioning remain the responsibility of your specialists or the manufacturer – so responsibilities are clearly defined.
- Separate transport: Equipment does not travel between furniture and boxes.
- Labelling per device: Old and new location, connections, responsibility.
- Time slots to suit your IT: Evenings or Saturdays at no surcharge.
- Insured: up to CHF 100'000.– per van, business liability insurance up to CHF 5 million.
IT relocation costs
How much does an IT and laboratory relocation cost?
We bill IT and laboratory relocations at an hourly rate. Additional effort arises mainly from special packaging, heavy equipment and narrow access. Everything is recorded during the survey and set out in the quote with a cost ceiling.

I was very satisfied with the moving services and the cleaning work. The furniture was properly packed and handled with care. The subsequent cleaning was also carried out professionally, so the handover went through without any issues. What's more, all the staff were extremely friendly. I can only recommend the company.

Do you transport servers and laboratory equipment?
Yes. We pack sensitive equipment so that it is shock-proof and tilt-proof, transport it separately from the rest of the removal goods and place it in the agreed position at the new location. Shutdown, data backup and recommissioning are handled by your IT or the equipment manufacturer.
Who is responsible for data backup?
Data backup is the responsibility of you or your IT service provider. We coordinate the moving plan so that backups and shutdown are completed before transport.
How is expensive equipment insured?
Transport insurance covers up to CHF 100'000.– per van, business liability insurance up to CHF 5 million, with no excess. For particularly valuable equipment, we clarify the cover during the survey.
How much does an IT or laboratory relocation cost?
A team of 3 people including a furniture van costs from CHF 262.– per hour, excluding VAT, minimum booking 3 hours. The effort for special packaging is determined during the survey.
What happens to old computers and equipment?
In Switzerland, electrical and electronic equipment can be returned free of charge to retailers and collection points thanks to the advance recycling fee. On request, we take decommissioned equipment there for you.
