The place name has nothing to do with ducks (Enten in German), even though the municipal coat of arms shows one: Endiveld means «end of the field». That fits the location. Oberentfelden lies in the roughly two-kilometre-wide plain of the Suhrental, crossed by the Uerke and the Suhre, and has grown seamlessly together with Unterentfelden. Wooded hills rise at the edges: to the west the gentle Tann (502 m above sea level), to the east the Schornig (596 m), steep at the bottom and with a small plateau at the top.
The plain as an advantage
Because the built-up area lies on the plain, most addresses can be reached without steep climbs.
