I was very satisfied with the moving services and the cleaning work. The furniture was properly packed and handled with care. The subsequent cleaning was also carried out professionally, so the handover went through without any issues. What's more, all the staff were extremely friendly. I can only recommend the company.

Packing and protection – careful & professional
Your furniture is protected with stretch film and wool blankets and securely packed. Special covers for mattresses and upholstered furniture provide extra protection. Fragile items such as glass, solid wood, pictures or mirrors are protected separately. Felt pads protect floors from scratches. Free moving boxes are provided.
Note: delivery and collection charges may apply depending on location.

Carrying out & loading your belongings with the utmost care. Unloading & carrying in at your new home. Dismantling and reassembly by experienced fitters. All expenses are included in the price.

Frequently asked questions about moving with Swiss Umzüge
How much does a move in Switzerland cost?
A move with us costs from CHF 550.– (1–1.5 rooms), a 3.5-room apartment from CHF 990.–, including insurance, excl. VAT. Billing is based on actual working time in quarter-hour increments, with a minimum of 3 hours. You can calculate the guide price in 2 minutes with our moving cost calculator.
Do I pay a surcharge on Saturdays?
No. Moves from Monday to Saturday cost the same with us – no Saturday surcharge.
Can I borrow moving boxes?
Yes. We lend you our sturdy, reusable moving boxes free of charge.
Is transport damage insured during a move?
At Swiss Umzüge, transport damage is handled in accordance with ASTAG regulations. Report any damage directly during the unloading check and confirm it in writing within 2 days – this is the only way it can be processed.
Does the quote remain binding on moving day?
Yes, as long as the agreed scope of services does not change. If additional services are added on moving day, for example furniture to be taken along at short notice, this extra work is billed separately according to the contractually agreed criteria – transparently and discussed directly on site.
Who organises the no-parking zone for the removal van?
We organise the temporary no-parking zone with the relevant municipality, provided you ask us in good time. That way, a parking space is ready right outside your door on moving day.
How quickly do I receive a quote?
After the survey – on site or by video – you will receive your quote within 24 hours, free of charge and without obligation.
Do you also offer temporary storage for my furniture?
Yes. If there is a gap between moving out and moving in, we offer secure temporary storage for your furniture. Simply contact us for an individual offer tailored to the duration and volume.
What should I keep in mind for an international move?
For moves abroad, we plan customs formalities, transport logistics and dates together with you. As every destination country has its own requirements, we recommend getting in touch early so that there is enough lead time for the organisation.
Can the survey also be carried out online?
Yes, on request we can also carry out the moving survey online by video. This way you receive a binding quote easily, without having to arrange an on-site appointment.
Do you also handle the disposal and clearance of items you no longer need?
Yes. Anything you don't want to take with you, we dispose of or recycle properly in accordance with Swiss regulations – from individual pieces of furniture to a complete household clearance.
Do you also offer an unpacking and packing service?
Yes, on request our trained staff will professionally pack and unpack your household goods to make your move even more stress-free.
