Getting to know Menziken
Moving company Menziken: removals at the upper end of the Wynental
Since 1 January 2023, the former municipality of Burg has been part of Menziken. Before that, it was almost entirely enclosed by Menziken's territory, linked to its western part only by a strip of land barely 100 metres wide. On 31 December 2025, 8,909 people lived in the enlarged municipality. Our base in Wallisellen is around 36 km away as the crow flies.
From the valley floor up to the Stierenberg
The village fills the entire width of the trough-shaped Wynental. The lowest point, at 535 m above sea level, is on the Wyna, and the highest, at 872 m, is on the Stierenberg in the wooded west. To the east, the Ischlag (651 m above sea level) forms the natural boundary with the Seetal.
For your move this means: on the valley floor it is mostly about the parking spot in front of the house, while on the rising edges it is more about access and carrying distance. We clarify both during the free survey, on site or by WhatsApp video, and then choose the vehicle size.
Factory buildings, workshops, companies
Menziken was industrialised early. In 1729 a cotton manufactory came to the village, and from 1838 the ribbon and tobacco factory S. Weber followed as the first tobacco factory in the canton. Later, aluminium was processed here, today under the name Montana Tech Components. The cigar era is remembered in the Tabak- und Zigarren-Museum (tobacco and cigar museum) in a former chapel. And on the Wyna stands a sawmill built in 1801 and driven by a water wheel, which is a listed monument and still works today.

Our own carpenters. They take wardrobes, bed frames and tables apart before loading and put them back together at the new place, whether on the valley floor or in Burg. Besides the rooms, also film the access: the road in front of the house, a possible parking area for the van and the path to the front door including steps. Then the cellar, attic and garage. Mention particularly heavy or fragile items so that we can plan vehicle and crew accordingly.
