If there is no private space in front of the building, we apply for the required area to the responsible office in Bonstetten. You pay its fee directly to the authority.

Whether to Hedingen, Stallikon or through the Islisberg tunnel towards Zurich: the load is secured, and you drive ahead with the key.
At the destination, we set everything up according to your plan. We take away anything you no longer need for disposal, and the final invoice matches the agreed quote.

Bonstetten lies in a flat valley basin in the Knonauer Amt; we charge the journey from our base in Wallisellen as working time, just like the work on site. On the level terrain, the effort depends mainly on the stopping point, carrying route and lift, which differ between the village and the area around the station in the Schachen. For larger blocks of flats, we look into using a furniture lift. Use the calculator above to get a guide price.

For us, Bonstetten is not just a dot on the map but a real place of work with its own roads, access routes and neighbourhoods. Bonstetten consists of two parts: the village (543 m above sea level) and the Schachen quarter with the railway station (527 m above sea level). Bonstetten-Wettswil station is served by the S5 and S14, around 20 minutes to Zurich HB; it is the highest station on the Zurich–Zug line.
As a moving company for Bonstetten, we also handle moves in Bonstetten-Dorf and Bonstetten-Schachen – with the same planning and the same guide prices. As your moving company, we also plan moves from Bonstetten to a neighbouring municipality such as Wettswil am Albis, Stallikon, Hedingen and Islisberg as a one-stop service. Bonstetten belongs to the district of Affoltern in the canton of Zurich.
Bonstetten lies in the district of Affoltern in the Knonauer Amt, in a flat valley basin around 12 kilometres south-west of Zurich, surrounded by Wettswil am Albis, Stallikon, Hedingen, Islisberg and Birmensdorf. The use of public land – which includes a no-parking zone for moving day – is the responsibility of the Security, Health and Social Affairs department of the Bonstetten municipal administration; the application must be submitted at least two weeks in advance. We take care of the application for you.
In addition to the village centre, Bonstetten includes the Schachen quarter with the railway station, the hamlet of Buen and the shopping areas of Burgwies and Heumoos. The Reformed church was built in 1510, is the oldest church in the village and was remodelled several times in 1820, 1896, 1954 and 2003; the tower dates from 1755. Bonstetten-Wettswil station, at 528 metres the highest on the Zurich–Zug line, is served by the S5 and S14, and the journey to Zurich HB takes around 20 minutes. The A4 motorway can be reached via the Wettswil am Albis junction through the Islisberg tunnel.
For the Private Move we clarify access and the no-parking zone with you in advance; for the Corporate relocation we coordinate the schedule with your business hours. Both with a cost ceiling, with no surprises on moving day.
Bonstetten has grown considerably over the past few decades. In 2000 the municipality still had 3,850 inhabitants; on 31 December 2025 it had 5,659, on an area of 7.43 km². The same questions arise for every move here: where does the removal van stop, how long is the carrying route to the front door, is the lift big enough? As your moving company in Bonstetten, we clarify all this before moving day.
The municipality consists of Bonstetten-Dorf and Bonstetten-Schachen. The Bonstetten-Wettswil railway station lies in the Schachen at 527 m above sea level. Depending on which part your old or new address is in, we plan differently:
If you commute by S-Bahn during the week, you can book your moving day on a Saturday with us, at no Saturday surcharge.
Three burial mounds from the Bronze Age and the Hallstatt period are the oldest evidence of human settlement in Bonstetten, and remains of a Roman house were also found in the Gibel. The village is first mentioned in writing in 1122 as «Boumstettin» in a document of the Diocese of Constance. In 1415 high jurisdiction passed to Zurich. The village remained small for a long time: 495 people lived here in 1635, and 691 in 1900. It was not until 1814 that Bonstetten, together with Stallikon and Wettswil, became part of the then Oberamt Knonau, today's Affoltern district.
A turning point came with the village fire of 1783, after which the government issued strict building regulations. More recent is the Catholic church of St. Mauritius, built on a new site between 2014 and 2016. Its parish also covers Stallikon and Wettswil.
Bonstetten borders Wettswil am Albis to the north, Stallikon to the east, Hedingen to the south and Islisberg and Birmensdorf to the west. If you are moving on within this neighbourhood, our removal company handles that too, for example as a removal company in Wettswil am Albis, for a move to Birmensdorf or within the same district as a removal company for Affoltern am Albis.
In addition to the furniture transport itself, we offer furniture assembly, final cleaning, disposal and furniture storage. Anyone handing back a rented flat can therefore complete moving out and cleaning in one appointment. Your removals partner in Bonstetten prepares the quote within 24 hours.
Do you carry out removals in both Bonstetten-Dorf and the Schachen near the station?
Yes. The municipality consists of Bonstetten-Dorf and Bonstetten-Schachen, where the Bonstetten-Wettswil station is also located. We determine the stopping point and carrying route for each address during the survey, on site or via WhatsApp video.
Can you help with a move from Bonstetten to Stallikon or Hedingen?
Yes. Stallikon borders Bonstetten to the east and Hedingen to the south. We plan such moves to the immediate neighbourhood just like a move within the municipality, including furniture assembly on request.
Bonstetten lies in a flat valley basin of the Knonauer Amt, but the village and the Schachen differ in their buildings and traffic. That is why we plan the stopping point, carrying route and vehicle individually for every address.
The village part lies at around 543 m above sea level and is the old core with the Reformed church of 1510. For older houses, we clarify in advance where the removal van can stop, how narrow the entrance and stairs are, and whether a longer carrying route needs to be planned.
Bonstetten-Wettswil station lies in the Schachen at 527 m above sea level. For flats in larger apartment buildings, we check the lift dimensions and stairwell width so that wardrobes and sofas can get upstairs, or a furniture lift is planned in good time.
The hamlet of Buen also belongs to Bonstetten. For houses with a farmyard access or a narrow drive, we determine during the survey how close the van can get and whether a smaller vehicle is the better choice.
If a reserved area on public land is needed for moving day, we submit the application to the responsible office in Bonstetten. The municipality charges the fee; we take care of the application and scheduling.
For cardboard and recyclables from your household, the Abfallsammelstelle (waste collection point) at Dorfstrasse 1 is available, and for hazardous waste there is the annual Sonderabfall-Mobil (mobile hazardous waste collection). We take discarded furniture with us on moving day and dispose of it for CHF 65.– per m³.
Shops and businesses are concentrated in the Burgwies and Heumoos shopping areas, and many are members of the Gewerbeverein Unteramt (local trade association). We schedule a business relocation outside opening hours so that trading can continue.
Bonstetten borders Wettswil am Albis, Stallikon, Hedingen, Islisberg and Birmensdorf. For moves there or further afield to Affoltern am Albis, Mettmenstetten and Obfelden, you will find the relevant local pages below.

Our team handles the senior move from packing to a fully furnished room. We take our time to discuss which furniture will fit into the smaller flat, reassemble the bed and wardrobes and take away anything no longer needed for disposal. On request, we clean the previous house with a handover guarantee.
If the removal van cannot drive up to the door, we switch to a smaller vehicle and would rather make two trips. Our carpenters dismantle heavy wardrobes and beds inside the house so they are easy to carry on the last stretch. We see how far it is on foot during the survey and plan the team size accordingly.
Because Wettswil is a separate municipality, two applications for the stopping point may be needed: one in Bonstetten and one at your new place of residence. We submit both for you. The same team then loads in the morning, the drive is short, and by the afternoon your furniture and beds are in the new flat.
In our warehouse, which is dry, climate-controlled and protected by an alarm system. We collect your household goods on moving-out day, store them for as long as necessary and bring them to the new build when you move in. You pay per cubic metre per month, and furniture assembly at the new place is included.
If you book the final cleaning with us, our team comes straight to the handover appointment with the property management. If they still find fault with anything, such as limescale in the shower or a mark on a window, we clean it immediately at no extra cost. That way you sign the handover report on the same day and the return of your rental deposit can begin.
We move computers, till systems and network equipment as an IT relocation: carefully packed, labelled and put back in place at the new location. Files and records come along as an archive move. We schedule the date outside your opening hours so that sales are not interrupted.
Above all door frames, stair turns and banisters, which can be tight in older buildings. Anything that will not fit round the corner we dismantle beforehand; if even that is too tight, a furniture lift is used via a window or balcony. We pad wooden steps and handrails before the first piece of furniture goes out.
