Getting to know Egg
Moving Company Egg – 415 metres of altitude between lakeshore and Hochwacht
In Rällikon, by the lido on Lake Greifensee, Egg lies at 438 m above sea level. The highest point of the municipality is on the Pfannenstiel at 853 m. In between, Egg forms the south-western corner of the Zurich Oberland, with a municipal boundary 22.5 kilometres long. Our base in Wallisellen is around 14 km away as the crow flies.
Three villages and many hamlets
The municipality consists of Hinteregg, Egg and Esslingen. At the beginning of 2024, 5331 people lived in Egg village, 2003 in Esslingen and 1529 in Hinteregg, 8,880 in total. Incidentally, until the 17th century Hinteregg was called «Fryenegg», after the free farmers who had settled there. Then there are outlying hamlets (Aussenwachten) such as Rällikon, Inner- and Usser-Vollikon, Niederesslingen, Rohr, Schaubigen, Eichholz, Neuhaus and Guldenen.

Forchbahn and four motorway junctions
Egg is connected by rail and road in several directions:

Hochwacht, Sagi and pilgrimage church
Egg is first mentioned on 27 January 775 as «Eccha», in a deed of donation to the Abbey of St. Gallen; the church is documented in 885. On the Hochwacht on the Pfannenstiel stands a viewing tower of cast iron and steel that originally stood on the Bachtel and was re-erected here in 1992. The sawmill in Hinteregg is mentioned as «Sagi Thommen» as early as 1537. In the village centre stands the Catholic St. Anthony's Church from 1921, a timber building that attracts pilgrims every Tuesday. The coat of arms with the pair of clasped hands goes back to the ideas of the French Revolution.

We do, together with the move. During the viewing we go through the living spaces, cellar and attic and decide what goes to the new home, what is put into storage and what should go. We dispose of anything no longer needed properly and, on request, clean the house afterwards with a handover guarantee.
How do you relocate servers and lab equipment for a business in Egg?
