Three districts on two levels
In 2025 Fällanden had 9,604 residents. Of these, 5,273 live in the village of Fällanden, 2,244 in Pfaffhausen and 2,087 in Benglen. The two former farmstead settlements are now larger villages and sit on terraces of the Pfannenstiel ridge, around 150 metres above the village. The village centre, by contrast, lies at the foot of the hill at 454 m, where the Dübendorf–Maur and Schwerzenbach–Zurich routes cross.
