Frick is the most populous municipality in the Laufenburg district and the regional centre of the upper Fricktal. On 31 December 2025, 6,211 people lived here. Since the 1970s, Frick's built-up area has merged seamlessly with those of Gipf-Oberfrick and Oeschgen. Gipf and Oberfrick even belonged to the municipality until 1804.
