Packing and protection – careful & professional
Your furniture is protected with stretch film and wool blankets and securely packed. Special covers for mattresses and upholstered furniture provide extra protection. Fragile items such as glass, solid wood, pictures or mirrors are protected separately. Felt pads protect floors from scratches. Free moving boxes are provided.
Note: delivery and collection charges may apply depending on location.
Removal specialists – competent & experienced
Carrying out & loading your belongings with the utmost care. Unloading & carrying in at your new home. Dismantling and reassembly by experienced fitters. All expenses are included in the price.
Vehicles and equipment – everything ready
Vehicles and fuel to suit the size of your move. Tools, securing straps and protective material included. Transport dollies and wool blankets for safe transport.
On-site protection – so that everything runs smoothly

Transparent cost & time calculation
Billing is based on actual working time, including travel to and from the site. Minimum duration: 3 hours, then billed in quarter-hour increments. Two 15-minute breaks a day count as working time. We work in accordance with ASTAG guidelines.

I was very satisfied with the moving services and the cleaning work. The furniture was properly packed and handled with care. Frequently asked questions about our moving service
Who handles furniture assembly at the new home with a removal service?
Our own carpenters. They dismantle wardrobes, beds and shelving before transport, keep small parts together and labelled, and reassemble everything in your new flat. Furniture assembly is already included in our guide prices for moves, so no separate order is needed for it.
How does Swiss Umzüge charge for its removal service by the hour?
By actual working time including travel there and back: the minimum is three hours, after which we charge in quarter-hour increments. Team size and vehicle are stated in the quote, and the same rate applies from Monday to Saturday.
Where does customs clearance take place when a removal goes abroad?
We declare the export to Swiss customs (BAZG, Federal Office for Customs and Border Security), and the import is handled by the customs authority of the destination country. We take care of both as complete customs clearance, based on the inventory list we draw up with you. We clarify the requirements in the destination country during the survey.
When are boxes delivered and collected with the removal service?
We deliver boxes and packing material two to three weeks before the date, so that you can pack at your own pace. After you move in, we collect the empty boxes again. If you would rather not pack at all, our packing service does the packing for you.
What happens with end-of-tenancy cleaning if the property management finds a fault?
We touch it up immediately and free of charge. With our move-out cleaning with handover guarantee, our team is on site at the flat handover and fixes any complaints straight away, so the inspection can be completed on the same date and no second cleaning appointment is needed.
Why can a cost ceiling make sense for a removal service?
Because it gives you a fixed maximum amount, regardless of how long moving day takes. After the free on-site survey we agree, on request, a cost ceiling or a flat rate for all the services you have chosen, instead of charging only by the hour.
Which services does the removal service cover for companies and offices?
Besides transporting office furniture, also IT and laboratory moves as well as archive moves for files. We work outside your business hours, set up the workstations again at the new location and dispose of furniture that is no longer needed.
