How the price is made up
What determines the cost of a move
The cost of a move depends on several factors: volume, distance, the scope of services required and accessibility. The calculator above asks exactly these questions and gives you an initial guide for your budget planning.
The price becomes binding after the free on-site survey or video-call survey. Billing is based on actual working time including travel to and from the site, in quarter-hour increments, with a minimum duration of 3 hours. On request you receive a cost ceiling – so you know before we start the maximum your move will cost.
- Apartment size: the number of rooms determines the volume and team size.
- Floors and lift: without a lift, more time or a furniture lift is needed.
- Distance: Travel to and from the site counts as working time.
- Additional services: End-of-tenancy cleaning, disposal, storage, packing.

All prices include insurance and exclude 8.1% VAT. Guide values are based on average effort; the exact amount is determined during the free on-site survey and invoiced according to actual working time, including travel to and from the site.

I was very satisfied with the moving services and the cleaning work. The furniture was properly packed and handled with care. Frequently asked questions about moving costs
Who pays the fee for the reserved parking space when calculating moving costs?
You pay this fee directly to the authority; it is not part of our invoice. We organise the stopping space in front of the building for you so that the removal van can park close to the entrance. The responsible office then bills the permit to you personally, separately from our price.
How can I reduce my moving costs myself before moving day?
Sorting things out beforehand and packing yourself makes the biggest difference. Fewer household goods mean less loading volume and shorter working hours. We deliver removal boxes and packing material free of charge two to three weeks before the date, so you can pack and label everything at your own pace; after the move we collect the boxes again.
Where can my furniture stay if the old and new flats are not available back to back?
Your furniture goes into our furniture storage, which is dry and alarm-protected. That way you neither have to rent the old flat for longer nor improvise a second transport day. We pick everything up on moving-out day and deliver it as soon as the new flat is ready, including furniture assembly by our own carpenters.
When does the final cost of a move end up higher than the calculator estimate?
This happens when the effort is above average, for example with full cellars and attics, long carrying distances or bulky individual items. We spot such points during the free on-site inspection and include them in the quote. If you want certainty, you can agree on a cost ceiling or a fixed price.
What protection for the flat and stairwell is included in the moving price?
Floor protection as well as lift and stairwell protection are a standard part of the move at no extra charge. We cover floors and door frames, pad the lift car and protect banisters so that no scratches lead to arguments at the flat handover. We additionally wrap delicate furniture in blankets and padding.
Why can end-of-tenancy cleaning with a handover guarantee prevent later costs?
Because complaints at the flat handover are fixed on the spot instead of expensively afterwards. Our cleaning team is present at the inspection and immediately touches up, free of charge, any defects the property management notices. This saves you a second cleaning at your own expense, and the flat is accepted.
