A team that knows every size of move
Swiss Umzüge & Entsorgung GmbH is based at Hertistrasse 29 in 8304 Wallisellen, right on the Zurich city boundary. From here we move customers throughout the canton of Zurich and in all cantons of Switzerland – from a studio to a business relocation.
We charge an hourly rate with a cost ceiling, so you know before we start the maximum your move will cost. We work to the industry’s ASTAG standard and, with more than 500 moves per year, know the challenges of every size of move.

I was very satisfied with the moving services and the cleaning work. The furniture was properly packed and handled with care. The subsequent cleaning was also carried out professionally, so the handover went through without any issues. What's more, all the staff were extremely friendly. I can only recommend the company.

Frequently asked questions about Swiss Umzüge
Who dismantles and reassembles the furniture at Swiss Umzüge?
Our own carpenters. They take apart wardrobes, beds and office furniture at your old address, the parts travel protected in the van, and at the destination everything is reassembled and put back in its place. Furniture assembly is already included in our guide prices, as are packing materials and insurance, so you do not need to book it separately.
How does Swiss Umzüge bill working time for a move?
In 15-minute increments based on the actual work done, with a minimum of three hours. This means you never pay for a part-hour you did not use, only for the time actually worked. If you prefer a fixed amount, you can agree a flat rate for the defined scope after the survey; all prices are exclusive of 8.1% VAT.
Where does Swiss Umzüge store furniture between moving out and moving in?
In our furniture storage facility, which is dry, climate-controlled and alarm-protected. This helps when your new flat only becomes available a few weeks after your notice period ends, or when a renovation takes longer than planned. Storage costs from CHF 15.– per m³ per month; collection and later delivery are handled by the same team.
When does Swiss Umzüge deliver the moving boxes, and who collects them?
Two to three weeks before your moving date we deliver boxes and packing materials free of charge. That leaves you time to pack up the cellar, attic and cupboards at your own pace. After the move we collect the boxes again and reuse them on the next job instead of using up new single-use material.
What does the handover guarantee for end-of-tenancy cleaning by Swiss Umzüge mean?
It means our cleaning team is on site at the flat handover. If the property management still finds anything to criticise, we touch it up immediately and free of charge until the flat is accepted. You do not need to arrange a second appointment and carry no risk of the handover failing because of the cleaning.
Which special jobs does Swiss Umzüge handle besides private home removals?
For example piano transport from CHF 250.–, jobs with a furniture lift, IT and laboratory relocations, and archive relocations. We move businesses outside working hours so that operations can continue. On top of that we offer disposal at CHF 65.– per m³ and end-of-tenancy cleaning, so the entire move stays with one point of contact.
